Tanya Stecklein – Office Manager
As the office manager for Dr. Ward, Tanya is busy keeping the thriving practice of a family medical doctor running efficiently. With over 18 years of medical management experience, she understands what it takes to keep the office running efficiently. Tanya enjoys the interaction with patients and insuring that their needs are met.
Born and raised in Logan, UT, Tanya moved to Blackfoot, ID in 1992 where she currently resides. Tanya married her soul mate, Greg, and together they are the proud parents of 6 great kids!
Tanya enjoys spending time in the mountains camping and 4-wheeling in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter. The greatest joy in her life, however, is her grandchildren.
Born and raised on a farm in Idaho Falls, AJ attended and graduated from Skyline High School. AJ continued his education at Brigham Young University – Idaho where he earned his Bachelors of Science degree. AJ completed his Physician Assistant studies at Idaho State University which provided an outstanding foundation for his practice in Dr. Ward’s Idaho Falls medical clinic.
AJ brings nearly 4 years of emergency medicine experience from Eastern Idaho Regional Hospital to the practice of Dr. Reed Ward. He has earned his BLS and ACLS certification and is a member of both the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Idaho Academy of Physician Assistants.
Ruth Beck is a certified physician’s assistant at the Idaho Falls family practice of Dr. Reed Ward that provides healthcare for patients of all ages.
Ruth is an Idaho Falls native and graduated from Idaho State University where she earned her physician’s assistant degree. Ruth has experience with a variety of medical disciplines but enjoys the family practice atmosphere.
Ruth is married and has four children who she enjoys spending time with when she is not seeing patients at Dr. Reed Ward’s family practice.
Josh Williams is an East Idaho native growing up in Rigby, Idaho. Josh is a certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C) who received his nurse practitioner degree from Gonzaga University.
Josh enjoys working in a family practice environment where he is able to help people of all ages with their primary healthcare needs.
Josh and his family enjoy the great outdoors and like to go camping, fishing and riding ATVs together.
Derek was born and raised in Idaho Falls and is a Hillcrest High School graduate. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Idaho State University and his Masters from Georgia’s South, University.
After schooling and working in the hospital and cardiac specific practice, he now is able to work as a certified Family Nurse Practitioner which has been his professional goal and ambition.
Derek is married and has two boys all of whom he enjoys spending time with. Whenever possible, he spends time in the outdoors camping, fishing, hunting and biking.
Radiology & Laboratory
Brent – Radiology Technologist
Brent was raised in Idaho Falls and pursued his professional education at ISU, receiving his bachelor’s degree in radiographic science and received his second bachelor’s degree at Weber State University, in nuclear medicine. Brent earned his ARRT certifications in both radiology and nuclear medicine.
Brent worked at EIRMC for over twenty years where he worked in the medical imaging field that includes x-ray and nuclear medicine. Brent joined the team at Dr. Ward’s office in April of 2015 where he cares for the patients that require medical imaging care like x-rays along with some nursing duties.
Brent enjoys working in a primary care atmosphere where he and the providers work together to diagnose and treat patients. The unity and teamwork at Dr. Ward’s office has a “family” feel to Brent who feels like his skills are utilized and make a difference to the patients he sees.
Brent currently lives in Shelley with his wife of over 28 years. They have four children and two grandchildren that they enjoy spending time with anytime they can.
Brent loves the outdoors and loves to camp, fish and snowboard in the winter. One of his greatest passions, however, is riding his Harley through the amazing wilderness passages in and around Eastern Idaho.
Richard – Lab Technologist
Richard is a graduate of what he calls “the real” Bonneville High School which is located in the Ogden, Utah area. Out of high school, Richard pursued his education in clinical laboratory sciences. He received his CLA degree from Weber State University and continued his education and has received multiple certifications as a technician and instructor.
Prior to joining the team at Dr. Ward’s office, through his career, Richard has spent a substantial amount of time working in the hospital environment having worked at Ogden Regional medical Center and ARUP Laboratories a part of Huntsman Cancer Center. He is excited to work with Dr. Ward where he can enjoy working in a family practice setting where he can work more directly and closely with patients. He enjoys the staff at Dr. Ward’s office which he playfully refers to as “the tribe.”
Richard’s clinical laboratory education, training, experience and expertise meets the strict standards required for CLIA, COLA and FDA requirements for laboratory facilities. Dr. Ward is delighted to have a new in-house laboratory under Richard’s direction.
Richard like to take time to enjoy the outdoors. He likes guns and hunting but especially loves exploring East Idaho and experiences it by camping and taking long ATV rides with his family.
Anita – LPN
Anita Taylor is a native Idahoan who graduated from Bonneville High School and then went on to earn her LPN from Eastern Idaho Technical College. Fresh out of high school, she entered the work force in the medical field and never looked back.
Anita enjoyed her work in the emergency room and intensive care for several years and then changed her focus to caring for the aging population that needed elder care.
After 14 years of caring for the elderly, Anita is excited to work in a family practice where she can use her experience caring for the elderly but also care for people of all ages.
Anita enjoys the teamwork at Dr. Ward’s office and feels like the providers, front staff and the entire group are great people to work with and all care for our community of patients.
Whenever Anita gets a chance, she goes camping.
Kim – LPN
Kim is an Idaho Falls native who graduated from Bonneville High School and earned her LPN from Eastern Idaho Technical College where she has worked as a nurse since 2002. After working in family practice for a while, she took the opportunity to work in long term care where she could care for her aging grandparents through the end of their lives. That was a choice experience for her.
She is now thrilled to return to family practice where there is a variety of care provided for patients in the community. She loves the staff at Dr. Ward’s office and emphasizes that they are, “The best staff anyone could ask for!!” She loves caring for people and establishing relationships with the patients.
Kim loves to golf, running and playing softball with her husband. She is into sports and loves football season and the chance to watch her oldest daughter cheer at Idaho Falls High School. Kim also loves the great hunt, which is, searching for the bargains in her many shopping exploits.
Caitlin – LPN
Caitlin grew up in Blackfoot and is a graduate of Snake River High School. After high school she joined the Army where she went through extensive training in emergency medicine and worked as an EMT and combat medic. During her four years of active duty as a medic, Caitlin fulfilled a nine month tour in Afghanistan.
After active duty, Caitlin served for two more years in the Idaho National Guard and studied nursing at Idaho State University where she received her LPN certification. After receiving her LPN, Caitlin joined Dr. Ward’s team in April of 2018. She enjoys working in a family practice setting where she can work with patients of all ages and can become more personally acquainted
Caitlin enjoys reading but loves spending time with her family in the outdoors doing about any activity possible. From mountain biking to snowboarding, if it’s an outdoor activity, you name it and she loves it!
Kaisa – LPN
Kaisa was born and raised in Idaho Falls and attended both Hillcrest and Bonneville High Schools. After high school graduation, Kaisa began pursuing her education and training as an LPN and surgical technician at the College of Eastern Idaho.
Kaisa graduated from the College of Eastern Idaho’s Surgical Technician program in the spring of 2016 and the nursing program in the spring of 2018. After her 2018 graduation, she began working for Dr. Ward in that same year. Kaisa enjoys the family feel at Reed Ward Family Practice and loves caring for patients of all ages.
With her husband, Kaisa enjoys the outdoors where they can go camping, swimming and snowboarding. Kaisa also enjoys learning new culinary skills and cooking unique and fun dishes
Chelsea – LPN
Chelsea is an Idaho Fall native and a graduate of Bonneville High School. After high school, Chelsea began working in the medical field for a local urgent care provider for eight years. While working, she continued her schooling and earned her LPN requirements while studying and graduating from the College of Eastern Idaho.
Chelsea began working for Dr. Ward in May of 2018. She enjoys the friendly and welcoming environment and particularly being able to work with and care for the patients of Reed Ward Family Practice.
Among the many outdoor activities that Chelsea enjoys, she especially enjoys hunting, fishing and shooting guns. On occasion, you will find her on a dirt bike exploring the trails of east Idaho. She also likes to spend time with her family including her younger sister whom she loves and adores.
Deborah – CMA
Deborah grew up in Flagstaff, Arizona but fell in love with the Idaho community while attending Ricks College. After living in Utah and Arkansas for many years, Deborah was excited to move back to Idaho where she can be closer to her parents that live in Lava Hot Springs.
Prior to her employment at Dr. Ward’s office, Deborah worked in the family practice setting for over 12 years. Deborah loves working at Dr. Ward’s office with a staff that works well together and helps each other. She considers it a great place to work and continue her medical career.
When not working, Deborah enjoys being a mother of 3 children, shopping, doing crafts and learning more about her Native American culture.
Alyssa – CNA
Alyssa grew up in Idaho Falls and is an Idaho Falls High School Graduate. She has attended BYU-I and earned her CNA at Eastern Idaho Technical College.
Working in both the dental and family practice fields, Alyssa has an inherent care for people. She loves working at Dr. Ward’s office where she “has the chance to make patients smile each day.”
Alyssa enjoys spending time with her family in Island Park and Yellowstone. With her husband and daughter, she likes to go on walks and go out to the movies.
Melanie – Insurance Billing
After graduating from Pocatello High School, Melanie gained a wide array of experience in Idaho and Texas working in both the family practice and hospital settings. Melanie also worked as the Outreach Coordinator for the Get F.I.T program for the Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas, a division of Texas Tech University where she worked.
Melanie loves working at Dr. Reed Ward’s office with the “amazing” people who are dedicated to patient needs and who really care for people.
In her spare time, Melanie can be found snuggled up with a good book, doing crafts, or collecting about anything related to astronomy. She is an animal lover and has two cats she loves dearly.
Lisa – Patient Billing, Certified Coder
With over 10 years of professional experience, Lisa brings the expertise of a seasoned billing administrator. With her AAPC professional billing certificate, she is able to navigate through the maze of billing codes essential for proper insurance processing.
Lisa loves working at the office of Dr. Reed Ward where everyone is very nice and is a place the patients’ needs are the number one priority.
Lisa is a Shelly High School graduate and enjoys the outdoors where she can camp fish and kayak with her parents who are her best friends. She loves music and whenever possible can be found at concerts where she can experience music in person. Lisa also has a cat name Lucy that she spoils.
Perla – Receptionist
Born and raised in East Idaho, Perla is happy to be working in the area where she grew up and especially at Dr. Ward’s office. Perla enjoys being able to meet and work with Dr. Ward’s patients where she can show individual care and compassion for those who aren’t feeling well.
Before joining the staff at Dr. Ward’s office, Perla earned her CNA and worked for a local home health agency where she took pleasure in caring for ailing individuals who were homebound. Now, Perla is impressed with how Dr. Ward takes the steps necessary to get to the source of a patient’s illness even when other physicians don’t have answers.
Perla’s life revolves around her husband, three daughters, two sons, and four grandchildren with whom she spends as much time with as possible camping, watching movies or simply spending time together. She has a great passion for reading and loves Marcia Lynn McClure books. In fact, she has met the author and has the author’s signature on her series of books.
Ronda – Receptionist
Ronda is a native of Idaho Falls who attended and graduated from Skyline High School. Ronda has worked in medical offices throughout her career and enjoys the interaction she has with patients.
Ronda is excited to work in the family practice setting and loves how everyone at Dr. Ward’s office works so hard to make sure the patients are number one! She feels it a privilege to do her part with a variety of administrative tasks that are critical in keeping the office flowing and patients cared for.
Ronda is married and has two boys and one girl. She loves spending time with her family and loves to travel and see new places and things that our great country affords.
Amanda – Receptionist
Amanda is an East Idaho native graduating from Firth High School in 2005. After graduation, Amanda worked at Bish’s RV and Hard Times Sales and Service in Firth, Idaho. After that, she was a stay-at-home mom for six years.
Amanda enjoys working at Dr. Ward’s office which is her first experience in a medical office but she has quickly adapted and enjoys the interaction with patients and the rest of the staff.
As time permits, Amanda spends time in the outdoors with the love of her life, Chris, and their two children camping, backpacking and playing volleyball. It warms her heart to hear her kids sing and to watch them grow up.
Andrea – Receptionist
Andrea is a graduate of Hillcrest High School and is currently a BYU-I student that works part time for Dr. Ward. Her first work experience was at Ammon City Pool where she became certified in CPR and First Aid as a lifeguard. Prior to working for Dr. Ward, Andrea worked during the tax season at a local accounting firm and gained office work experience.
Andrea likes working at Dr. Ward’s office because the staff and patients all feel like family and she delights in the opportunity to work in a medical practice environment.
When not studying or working, Andrea loves anything outdoors no matter what the season. Snow sports are her favorite but she thinks hiking and camping are great summer activities as well.
